Frequently Asked Questions
Is the chemical safe for children and pets?
Yes, our mosquito repellents are safe for children and pets once they have settled, which usually takes about 30 minutes after application.
How often do you apply the chemical?
As part of our pest control services, we apply the chemical every three weeks, or approximately every 21 days, to ensure effective mosquito control.
Do I need to be home during the application process?
No, you do not need to be home during the application. We simply ask that you provide direct access to the backyard and ensure any pets are kept indoors when we come to spray your yard for mosquitoes.
When should I mow and water the lawn?
If you plan to mow, please do so either 24 hours before or after an application. For best results, mowing before we spray your yard for mosquitoes is recommended.
We also recommend waiting 8-12 hours after an application before watering your lawn. This allows the mosquito killers to fully settle and ensures optimal effectiveness.
What if it rains?
Rain generally does not affect our mosquito repellents unless there is a constant downpour. Once the chemical has settled, it will remain effective for roughly 21 days.
What are the rates for your services?
Our base rate is $55 (before taxes), and pricing may vary depending on the size of your yard or application area. Larger areas may increase the cost.
What type of warranty do you provide?
If you feel that the mosquito killers are not working effectively, we will revisit and re-spray the area as needed, free of charge.
How can I pay for your services?
You can pre-pay for the entire season or pay per application. Payment options include email payments or paying by check at the time of application.
Mosquito Spraying Tips
1. Mow your lawn a day or two before we apply the mosquito lawn spray, but avoid mowing right after treatment to allow the chemical to take full effect.
2. It is safe to walk on your lawn once the mosquito repellent for yard has dried—usually within 30 minutes. This applies to pets as well.
3. Eliminate any stagnant water in your yard, as it serves as a prime breeding ground for mosquitoes. Even an inch of water can produce thousands of mosquitoes.
4. For optimal results, our pest company schedules treatments every 21 days to maintain control over mosquito populations and ensure effective pest management.
5. Mosquitoes are most active at dawn and dusk. While our treatment is highly effective, you may still encounter a few during these peak times.
6. Remember, Mother Nature can be unpredictable. Please be patient as we work around rain, wind, and other weather challenges to provide the best service possible.
